Exit Foundation

MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING

Exit Foundation has expanded its initiatives to include dedicated programs focused on supporting the mental health and well-being of young people.

During these unprecedented times, young people have been disproportionately affected, experiencing significant challenges to their mental and physical health. The financial instability caused by the pandemic has exacerbated anxiety, negatively impacting self-perception and straining family dynamics.

We are committed to supporting individuals of all ages in overcoming barriers and engaging in meaningful activities that empower them to lead fulfilling, productive lives. Our approach emphasises fostering a strong, supportive network to ensure lasting positive outcomes and active contributions to society.

OUR TEAM

This initiative is led by our esteemed and highly experienced Practice Lead, Yemisi Cedar. Yemisi collaborates with London Local Authorities and other mental health professionals to deliver exceptional counselling, mentoring, and care services, making a transformative impact on the lives of young people.

At Exit Foundation, we are committed to excellence in mental health support. All staff working in this area are certified Mental Health First Aiders, equipped with the expertise to identify and address mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, self-harm, low self-esteem, and identity-related issues.

WHAT WE OFFER

We understand that isolation can exacerbate anxiety, depression, and related challenges. To address this, we offer a comprehensive wraparound program that includes a specialised, confidential mentoring service paired with a series of workshops. These workshops focus on developing life skills, enhancing mental well-being, building practical job search capabilities, and fostering a supportive social and peer network.

Our ultimate goal is to empower clients to transition into meaningful employment, training opportunities, or educational pathways, paving the way for long-term success and personal growth.

It is with your kind support that we are able to continue supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people.
